Wednesday, May 9th, 2012“The Three Stooges” – 3 1/2 stars
Sunday, April 15th, 2012“The Three Stooges” is good. If you enjoy the Stooges, or the Farrelly Brothers, you’ll enjoy this movie. Funny, time flew, enjoyable.
“Project X” – 3 stars
Tuesday, February 28th, 2012“Project X” is OK for its genre. I am not the target audience; the high school / college age audience seemed to enjoy it. Crude at times.

“Memphis (The Musical)” is good on the big screen
Thursday, April 28th, 2011“Memphis (The Musical)”
3 1/2 out of 5 stars.
Enjoy Broadway musicals, and the previews for the HD broadcast of “Memphis (The Musical)” at the Regal Fenway certainly caught my interest. Of course, it is better being in the live theater audience, but if your not in the big apple, HD on the big screen is the next best thing.
The music, and dancing were top notch as you would expect in a Broadway production.
I thought it got a bit too over the top at times, but overall, the performance was very good.
Not as good as seeing a musical live, but the HD broadcast is a good alternative.
Lost 135 Pounds since November 29, 2009
Friday, April 15th, 2011Lost 135 pounds since November 29, 2009. Only lost 1 pound since end of March, but did loose 4 pounds since March 15. I had gained a few pounds the first week of April, but managed a net loss of 1 pound by the 15th.
It will be difficult to loose next 25, but I will. Now that I am near the end of my massive weight loss saga, I am not in a hurry, just want a steady loss.
“Conviction” is very good
Thursday, October 14th, 2010“Conviction”
4 of 5 stars
Preview screening at Kendall.
I am a fan of Hilary Swank, and she did not disappoint.
Story very interesting, and fine performances by all.
Hilary, and Minnie Driver earned kudos for their fine performances.
Like all movies based on true stories, you don’t know how much is fact, and how much Hollywood enhancements.
If you like a good story with minimal CGI, put this on your list.
“Cats & Dogs: Revenge of Kitty Galore in 3D” is pretty good
Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010I was downtown, and felt like a movie after dinner. The only movie I had not seen was “Cats & Dogs: Revenge of Kitty Galore in 3D”, so a senior ticket was in my pocket after dinner. The movie is geared for kids, but some made for children movies can be enjoyed by all ages. I was not bored, yet I was not blown away either. Overall, the movie was enjoyable, and an adult can definitely enjoy this movie as long as you realize the target audience for this movie is young children. The 3D was good, but not overbearing, the dogs / cats were enjoyable, and the animatronics / animations were top notch.
If your child wants to see this movie, or you are looking for a pleasant hour and a half, venture in, you may like it.
