Saw “Despicable Me 3D” at the Common after seeing “Cyrus”. “Despicable Me 3D” is fantastic, definitely the funniest animated film I have seen in years – yes it is that good. The movie tells the tale of a super villain who plans to steal the moon in order to regain his title as the most evil villain. Along the way, the cold hearted villain adopts 3 little girls. He uses the girls to gain him entry to another villain’s fortress, and steals a miniaturization gizmo needed to shrink the moon so he can steal it. Although he is cold hearted and only adopted the girls as part of his evil plan, the 3 girls eventually soften his heart, and he becomes a loving father.
This movie is humorous throughout. The audience was constantly laughing, and the three girl animations are precious. In addition to being the funniest animated film I have seen in years, maybe ever, the 3 girls are the sweetest animated characters I have seen as well. The impish minion animations are fantastic, definitely some of the best characters I have seen in any animated movie. The quality of the animation is top notch, the voices are fine, and the story is absolutely exceptional. It does not matter what your age is, see this movie, you will enjoy it. I have seen over 100 movis so far this year, and “Despicable Me 3D” is definitely in the top 5 list of movies for 2010.
