My weigh-in this morning was a very pleasant experience, I finally hit the 70 pound weight loss target. Seventy pounds lost in a little less than 7 months is a significant achievement. Not only is a 70 pound loss a great goal to meet in its own right, but it is also significant because a 70 pound loss matches my highest weight loss from prior weight loss campaigns. I lost 70 pounds between February 1, 1999, and August 18, 1999. Although I wanted to loose more weight in 1999, I went on vacation starting August 18, and except for a few sporadic pounds in the Fall of 1999, my weight loss ended. I then proceeded to regain the 70 pounds I lost in 1999, and added a 55 pound bonus as well. Similar to 1999, I still have more weight to loose. Unfortunately, I have a lot more weight to loose now than in 1999 due to that pesky 55 pound bonus I added when regaining the 1999 loss.
Although thrilled with the 70 pound loss, I have at least another 80 pounds to loose, and even more vital, I must ensure I keep the weight off permanently this time. I do add my usual caveat about realizing I could be under the 70 pound weight loss goal tomorrow due to temporary fluid fluctuations, but also realize I will be exceeding the 70 pound goal permanently within a few days.
