“The Rum Diary”

3 1/2 out of 5 stars.

Fan of Johny Depp, and he did not disappoint in this movie.
Storyline a bit off-beat, but interesting most of the time.
A few times, movie lagged a bit.
Performances fine, time passed rfelatively quickly, scenery exceptional.
Half hour shorter would have made for a more interesting storyline without the lags.
Loved the old Vette, and other vintage cars.  Funny seeing fender skirts on cars for the first time in a long time.
Recommended if into movies with an off-beat storyline.

Seen most movies playing except this movie.
Excellent cast which should result in a good movie.
Performances were all excellent, story very interesting (albeit a bit exaggerated at times), time passed quickly.
Don’t know how much was factual, and how much Hollywood enhancements.
If you like a good story with minimal CGI, see this movie.

3 out of 5 stars.

Threre are a couple of twists at the end that partially redeem the script.
